Racing For Red

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut bibendum tortor sit amet ligula rutrum, at porta tortor convallis ...

In “Racing For Red”, Canadian-Iranian painter Maryam Ebrahimi uses acrylic on canvas to create a horizontal abstract full of movement and colour. On the canvas: ocean-like waves of navy and turquoise with racing red and coral bird strokes. It is part of the “Fly Me Away” collection, in which feathered brushstrokes become birds: a reflection of Maryam’s migration to Canada, her love of family and the longing to be together again. The birds echo the shape of the first letter of the Farsi alphabet, a nod to her native tongue. Measuring 40" x 24" x 1.5" in a horizontal format, it is a large statement piece for a living room, dining room or office. Gallery-wrapped and finished with two coats of protective varnish, it arrives ready to hang; a slim floater frame is optional. Available to purchase or rent on Partial, with rental fees going toward the purchase, plus trade pricing for interior designers and film and TV. Shipped from the artist’s studio in Richmond Hill, Ontario (GTA), with local pickup available.

Love the new artwork in my office and living room. It lifts us up everyday, acts as a conversation piece in Zoom calls, and we love the most being able to support artists in our communities as well.
