City in Layers

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut bibendum tortor sit amet ligula rutrum, at porta tortor convallis ...

“City in Layers” is an original abstract painting by Canadian-Iranian artist Maryam Ebrahimi, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. What you see: a misty white and pale blue centre that opens like a street between buildings, flanked by burnt orange, deep black and sky blue. Small windows of teal, mustard and blush stack along the edges like a skyline lit at dusk, and paint drips run down the lower half like reflections on wet pavement. From the “Celebration” collection, built from up-and-down lines and geometric elements in thick, textured paint. The series is a reminder that everything big is made of small pieces, and that small achievements deserve to be celebrated. Measuring 36" x 36" x 1.5" in a square format, it brings warmth and energy to a dining room, living room, reading corner or office. The painting is sealed with two coats of varnish to protect it from dust and moisture, and comes framed in black with a wired backing, ready to hang.

Love the new artwork in my office and living room. It lifts us up everyday, acts as a conversation piece in Zoom calls, and we love the most being able to support artists in our communities as well.
